Uhuru Bans Sale of Alcohol in Restaurants for 30 Days
President Uhuru has today reinstated the ban on the sale of alcohol in restaurants for 30 days.
Uhuru announced the ban from Statehouse Nairobi, 21 days after he laxed containment measures for Coronavirus.
“The surge in infections has accelerated sharply for the last 2 days, especially in Nairobi County,” said the president.
Additionally, all bars will remain closed for 30 days.
Uhuru has also called for the Police IG to withdraw licenses for bars in violation of the new measures.
The president has also reviewed the closing time for eateries from 9 pm to 7 pm.
